The Joint Commission releases 147 new or revised FAQs for 2007 National Patient Safety Goals

After reading this article, you will be able to

1. -explain the significance of a National Patient Safety Goal (NPSG) frequently asked question (FAQ)

2. -describe a strategy for tackling the FAQs in your facility

On February 1, The Joint Commission released new FAQs addressing the 2007 NPSGs, and there are 147 new or revised FAQs for you to learn.

The FAQs represent the field's most common questions submitted to The Joint Commission's Standards Interpretation Group. They are considered requirements, and Joint Commission surveyors refer to them during on-site surveys.
