Hospital corrects pharmaceutical, respiratory issues to save federal funding

A North Carolina hospital, threatened with loss of CMS certification, was able to improve upon issues in its pharmaceutical and respiratory services departments to prevent loss of certification and federal funding, theNorth Carolina News & Observer reports.

Federal investigators found problems in these areas at Franklin Regional Medical Center in Louisburg, NC, during a May inspection. This is the second time in three months the facility has been threatened with loss of federal funding.
