WHO releases surgical checklist

The World Health Organization (WHO) has released a surgical checklist intended to help create consistency among surgeons and operating teams both pre- and post-surgery.

The checklist, designed by the Safe Surgery Saves Lives collaboration, is intended to cut down on complications and lower mortality rates among surgical patients.
